This evening’s topic was Diversified Income and we were so excited to welcome our speaker, Erin Miller. Erin holds her Masters of Science in counseling psychology and worked as a school counselor, case manager and in behavioral health services for several years before becoming a mother and opening a photography business in 2013. Her photography business steadily grew whilst she also found joy and success in also mentoring and teaching the ins and outs of photography and how to run a business via courses and mentorship. In 2018, Erin also began coaching and mentoring for women and mothers who suffer from anxiety and overwhelm after Erin found this area of support lacking for most women. This path also lead into becoming a podcast host to Same Boat Huddle on its fifth season, author of her book, Motherhood Stripped, which was published in 2020 and being featured in Lehigh Valley Style - October 2021 edition.
Women often introduce themselves with what they are instead of WHO they are.
Enneagram, Human Design - to help you understand more about who you are.
Learn about what triggers you and understanding why you do what you do and how to come from a place of managed energy and boundaries, love not fear, etc.
There is additional energy to manage as a woman. We don’t want to expand our businesses and create diversified income sacrificing our health and boundaries.
In order to create more revenue, it’s important to understand all of the ins and outs of your work. List out all the things you do for your business.
In order to expand, we have to know where all of our energy is going and where we want it to go. This is also a good time to talk about delegating, outsourcing, and eliminating.
How to Monetize
Of all the things you’ve listed, what do you feel are your main strengths?
These ideas can then become lead magnets, email list builders, and new revenue.
Inquire with your target market with what they are needing. Ask on social media, email list, or in person.
Understanding the pain points.
Poll your colleagues and your people - ask them what they think you’re good at.
Money is an energetic tool. We often undervalue ourselves because we want to get the client/money. There is a confidence in understanding that. Sometimes people don’t purchase because they don’t see the value in it, but it’s also knowing your own value.
Money is just an exchange of energy, you want to get back what you give in.
Think about your energetic exchanges about everything in life.
Follow your energy. It will guide you.
